Warehouse Associate (USA Parkway) – Full Time, $13.50/hr

This is a great opportunity! Reno Staffing is looking for a reliable, versatile and energetic warehouse associate for a tile and stone flooring distribution center located off USA Parkway in McCarran, NV. Ideal candidate will be expected to be flexible with the ability to perform several different warehouse tasks, including packaging of product, order scheduling, order processing and other administrative tasks. As such, candidate should also be comfortable navigating a computer and have reliable transportation.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm, some overtime possible
Pay: $13.50/hr (paid weekly)
Position: This position is temp-to-perm with long term potential for the right associate—including amazing benefits!

Position responsibilities:
Material handling:
• Unloading and loading trucks
• Replenishment of stock
• Utilize material handling equipment – pallet jack, shrink wrapper, etc.
Picking & Packing:
• Pick customer orders according to picking lists
• Pack customer orders according to packing lists
• Pack products securely for shipping, according to general packing guidelines
• Properly label packages with package content and shipping labels
• Loading packages onto transportation trucks

Other general duties:
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Perform inventory counts
• Assist in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse
• Complete special projects as directed by management
• Behave professionally, with a positive attitude
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Drug test
• Criminal background check
• Safety shoes required
• Good communication, ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) accurately
• Basic computer skills
• Prior experience in a distribution environment with general knowledge of warehouse procedures
• Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative
• Ability to lift 70 lbs, climb ladders, and utilize material handling equipment
• Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
• Positive attendance pattern
